Compensation system for real-time orthogonal position feedback.

When using any laser ruler system in a non vacuum environment, some form of environmental compensation is required to maintain accuracy under various environmental conditions. The principle of interferometric measurement depends on the wavelength of the laser, which varies slightly according to the refractive index of the air in which the laser propagates.
A temperature change of ± 1 ° C, a pressure change of ± 3.3 mbar, or a 50% relative humidity change can cause a 1 ppm difference between the laser wavelength and the measurement results.
