I. Overview

The UFB-HK series pumps have changed the structural form of traditional pumps by placing the pump seal at the inlet of the pump. The pressure value at the inlet of the pump is always at a relatively stable negative pressure. In this way, the seal of the pump always works under negative pressure, which avoids the possibility of leakage. Therefore, we call it a leak free pump.

Traditional pump structures have shaft seals located behind the impeller at a higher pressure point, and this pressure increases with the increase of pump pressure. Under the combined action of slurry and sustained high pressure, the seal is prone to failure, especially when used in conjunction with filter presses and conveying chemical slurry. As we all know:

Filter press is widely used in various industrial sectors, and its pump plays a crucial role in ensuring the stability, reliability, and continuous operation of the entire system. The basic requirements for the pump used with the filter press are:

1. When feeding: the pump flow rate should be large. Can quickly fill the filter chamber of the filter press.

2. When under pressure: the pump pressure should be high. Can minimize the moisture content of the filter cake as much as possible.

3. The sealing of the pump is reliable and durable. Can continuously provide stable high pressure.

4. The flow components of the pump are corrosion-resistant, wear-resistant, and temperature resistant, with low operating and maintenance costs.

There are currently few pumps on the market that can simultaneously meet the above four conditions. So the matching pumps for filter presses have not been well solved, such as positive displacement pumps (plunger pumps, diaphragm pumps, screw pumps, hose pumps), which can provide high pressure, but generally have low flow rates and cannot quickly fill the filter chamber of the filter press. Moreover, the cost is generally high, so it cannot be accepted by the cryptocurrency market. For example, centrifugal pumps can meet the requirements of high flow rate during feeding. When under pressure, there is a requirement for high pressure, but the above two operating conditions are the two conditions for centrifugal pump operation. If no special design is made, it will be difficult to meet the requirements of the pump for the filter press.

Our company has accumulated years of experience in producing and developing pumps for filter presses. In response to the special characteristics of filter press pumps, we have specially designed the UFB-HK series leak free pumps and leak free chemical slurry pumps from the perspectives of pump structure, pump sealing form, and pump material.

This pump has the following characteristics:

1. The overcurrent components are made of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene by integral molding, which is acid resistant, alkali resistant, and wear-resistant. Its wear resistance is 8 times that of ordinary stainless steel. Modified ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene is used, and its wear resistance is 16 times that of stainless steel.

2. The seal of the pump works under negative pressure, so it will not leak, overcoming the problem of easy leakage of the original corrosion-resistant and wear-resistant pump shaft seal.

3. Due to the sealing working under negative pressure, there is no need for a secondary impeller to reduce pressure, thus saving shaft power consumption. The efficiency of the pump is relatively high.

4. Due to the use of a semi open impeller, there will be no blockage.

2、 Scope of application

This series of pumps can transport various corrosive liquids and slurries up to 100 ℃, making it particularly suitable as a pump for filter presses. Its typical application positions are as follows:

1. In the production process of non-ferrous metal wet smelting, the filter press is equipped with a pump or the transportation of corrosive slurry in the process flow.

2. In the production process of non-metallic mineral products, filter presses are equipped with pumps or slurry conveying pumps.

3. In desulfurization and dust removal projects, there are spray circulation pumps, dosing pumps, and pressure filtration pumps for desulfurizers.

4. The pump used in the production process of chemical, dye, pharmaceutical and other industries for filter presses.

5. High pressure slurry conveying pumps for various diaphragm filter presses.

6. The environmental protection industry uses filter presses and pumps to treat various types of wastewater.

7. The feed pressure pump of the filter press used for various oil dewaxing in the petroleum industry.

8. Feed pressure pump of filter press used in food industry (such as starch: corn flour: brewer's yeast: monosodium glutamate).

This pump is not suitable for:

1. The position where the liquid level is 1.2 meters below the centerline of the pump inlet.

2. Posts with excessive negative pressure at the suction port.
