Product Principle
PH meter: refers to an instrument used to determine the pH value of a solution. A pH meter operates based on the principle of a primary battery. The electromotive force between the two electrodes of the primary battery is determined by Nernst's law, which is related to both the electrode properties and the concentration of hydrogen ions in the solution. There is a corresponding relationship between the electromotive force of the primary battery and the concentration of hydrogen ions, and the negative logarithm of the concentration of hydrogen ions is the pH value.
At present, the industrial measurement of water pH value adopts the potentiometric analysis method: many electrodes/media in contact are severely corrosive. In order to better adapt to all-weather working environments, Meixu Measurement and Control has upgraded to special electrodes made of PTFE material. PTFE electrodes can better resist strong acids and alkalis, corrosion, and are suitable for use in harsh environments. They are also connected to the measuring instrument (MX-PHYB-01). Thus effectively measuring and detecting the acidity and alkalinity in water quality.

Installation method
Precautions
1. Glass electrode sockets should be kept dry and clean, and must not come into contact with harmful gases such as acid mist and salt mist. It is also strictly prohibited to come into contact with aqueous solutions to ensure high input impedance of the instrument. 2. There is an appropriate amount of 3.3mol/L KCl solution in the protective cap at the front end of the electrode, and the electrode tip is immersed in it to maintain the activation of the sensitive membrane and the liquid interface.
3. When using the electrode, it is necessary to remove the transparent protective cap on the front and immerse the glass bulb and the liquid contact part into the measured medium. When installing and fixing, please use raw materials to do a good job of waterproof sealing to prevent water from entering the PH electrode and causing a short circuit in the PH electrode cable.
4. New electrodes or electrodes that have been unused for a long time must be soaked in distilled water for several hours (or dechlorinated) before use. Reduce the asymmetric potential of the electrode to achieve stability and lower the internal resistance of the electrode. 5. During measurement, the electrode bubbles should be fully immersed in the measured solution. 6. Users need to regularly clean the sensitive film in front of the electrode. For electrodes that have been in use for a long time, their glass film may become transparent or adhere to deposits. At this time, they should be washed and washed with water.
7. The electrode should be cleaned when not in use and inserted into a protective cap with saturated solution
8. There should be no bubbles in the solution to avoid disconnecting the measurement circuit. 9. PH electrode is a consumable due to the harsh measurement environment. Its normal service life is one year, and if not maintained properly, it will be shortened.
