Atomic absorption spectrometer is a commonly used analytical instrument that mainly analyzes metal elements based on the characteristic radiation absorption of the ground state atomic vapor of the substance. The product has the advantages of stable performance, flexible use, and high reliability.
Atomic absorption spectrometer generally consists of four parts, namely light source, sample atomizer, monochromator, and data processing system. There are two main types of atomizers, namely flame atomizers and electric heat atomizers. There are various types of flames, and currently the commonly used one is the air acetylene flame. The commonly used electric atomizer is the graphite furnace atomizer, so there are flame atomic absorption spectrometers and atomic absorption spectrometers with graphite furnaces for atomic absorption spectroscopy.
There are three main analysis methods for atomic absorption spectroscopy:
1、 Atomic absorption flame method
Atomic absorption flame method is widely used as a commonly used analytical method. For some common metal elements with a certain measurable range of content, flame atomic absorption method is simple and fast, and the accuracy of the results is very high.
2、 Atomic absorption graphite furnace method
Atomic absorption graphite furnace method is a classic method in atomic absorption applications. A typical graphite furnace can instantly heat up to 3000 ℃, which is very effective for quantitative detection of some extremely low content or high-temperature elements. Even many instrument and analysis experts believe that the reason why atomic absorption spectrometers have not been eliminated and are still widely used today is because the accuracy and small detection limit of atomic absorption graphite furnace method are almost * among all current testing methods.
3、 Atomic absorption hydride method
Also known as cold atomic method, it is generally used to determine elements such as mercury and arsenic.
So in the selection of atomic absorption spectrometer, we first need to choose which method is mainly used to determine the content of metal elements, and then determine the configuration of the atomic absorption spectrometer based on the determination method.
