Biased InGaAs fiber detector
The 818-BB-35F uses a battery biased InGaAs photodetector with a diameter of 0.032 millimeters and a wavelength range of 1000 to 1650 nanometers. The detector is coupled to a 1-meter single-mode SMF 28e fiber through an FC/UPC connector. PIN photodetectors utilize the photoelectric effect to convert optical power into current.
Battery bias GaAs fiber optic detector
The 818-BB-45F uses a 0.04mm diameter high-speed battery biased gallium arsenide photodetector with a wavelength range of 400 to 900 nanometers. The detector is coupled to a 1-meter single-mode SMF 28e fiber through an FC/UPC connector.
Expanding InGaAs Fiber Optic Detector
818-BB-51F has a high-speed battery biased extended InGaAs photodetector with a diameter of 0.04 mm, with an extended wavelength range of 1475 to 2100 nm, allowing monitoring of thulium (Tm) and holmium (Ho) doped lasers as well as other near-infrared lasers. The detector is coupled to a 1-meter single-mode SMF 28e fiber through an FC/UPC connector.
DC to 12.5 GHz bandwidth
All of these high-speed battery biased fiber optic detectors provide a 3db bandwidth from DC to 12.5GHz. The frequency response of 818-BB-51F is shown below.
