Activated carbon adsorbs waste gas molecules: During the activation process, activated carbon gradually forms a huge surface area and complex pore structure. The surface area of activated carbon is mainly provided by micropores. Activated carbon adsorption can be divided into physical adsorption and chemical adsorption, and the adsorption process is carried out on these pores and surfaces. The porous structure of activated carbon provides a huge specific surface area, making it very easy to achieve the purpose of absorption and collection.

The molecules on the pore walls of activated carbon can generate strong attraction, attracting the waste gas molecules in the medium to the pore size, which is the physical adsorption process. Activated carbon not only contains carbon elements, but also small amounts of oxygen and hydrogen, such as carboxyl groups, hydroxyl groups, phenols, lipids, quinones, ethers, etc. These complexes can undergo chemical reactions with adsorbed exhaust gas molecules and aggregate on the surface of activated carbon. The treated exhaust gas is passed into a centrifugal fan, which creates negative pressure through exhaust and is discharged into the atmosphere from a chimney 15 meters above the ground.
