This includes changing access point transmission power, channel, SSID settings, or adding environmental noise. Users can also simulate moving access points to new locations and preview the effect of adding additional access points. AirMagnet Survey provides users with an automated access point channel planning that avoids interference and over configuration.

Connecting multiple adapters to the same computer enables AirMagnet Survey to perform multiple surveys simultaneously, allowing users to simulate actual client behavior using industry best practices (using active and Iperf surveys) while reducing on-site survey time, experience, and cost by half. For example, users can perform both passive and active surveys simultaneously, or cross multiple frequency bands (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) simultaneously.

Multi layer deployment

AirMagnet Survey users can view multiple floors of the same building and check if there are any access point signals leaking to adjacent floors. This feature allows users to design their network and reuse single access point services across multiple floors, reducing device and deployment costs.

802.11n site survey

The AirMagnet Survey includes the industry's 802.11n Iperf and active surveying, and considers the practical impact of multipath transmission encountered at each location, enabling active testing of the uplink and downlink performance of 11n networks. Users can design and deploy Wi Fi networks using three spatial stream APs, providing performance with data transfer rates up to 450 Mbps (software ready, transfer rates up to 600 Mbps). AirMagnet Survey Pro includes built-in coverage maps for 802.11n networks, such as operating mode coverage map, MCS rate send/receive coverage map, and channel width coverage map.

RF spectrum and wireless LAN voice survey

Note: To provide RF spectrum survey functionality, it is necessary to install an RF spectrum analyzer and Survey PRO on the same computer. To provide wireless LAN voice survey functionality, AirMagnet VoFi Analyzer and AirMagnet Survey PRO need to be installed on the same computer.

Professional customized report

AirMagnet Survey PRO includes an integrated reporting module that allows for immediate creation of custom output reports for on-site surveys and simulations. In addition, users can flexibly create reports using custom templates according to project requirements. The report can be output in more than 15 formats, including PDF, XML, HTML, Excel, and Word.

Visually view the changes in coverage over a period of time

The Diff View feature of AirMagnet Survey allows you to see the differences between two different tests side by side. This can display the changes in the wireless environment of a location over a period of time. Similarly, users can use this feature to quickly compare the differences between AirMagnet Planner results and actual on-site survey results.
