When the pressure difference reaches the specified maximum value, the service life is terminated.
The direct parameter reflection of the termination of the filter element's lifespan is that the pressure difference between the upstream and downstream of the filter element reaches the pressure required for the bypass valve to open, and at this time, the filter element's pollutant holding capacity has also reached a large value. If the filter element's pollutant holding capacity is considered to be improved when designing and manufacturing the filter element, the lifespan of the filter element will be extended.
3. Regarding the process parameters of the filter element
Wave height, wave number, and filtering area
On the premise that the external dimensions of the filter element have been determined, changing the process parameters such as wave height and wave number to increase the effective filtration area of the filter material as much as possible can reduce the flux per unit of filter material surface and increase the overall pollutant holding capacity of the filter element, thereby improving the service life of the filter element. By increasing the filtering area of the filter element, the service life of the filter element often increases faster. If the wave number increases too much, crowded folded waves will reduce the hydraulic oil flow space between waves, resulting in an increase in the pressure difference of the filter element! The time to reach the differential pressure alarm of the filter element is shorter, and the lifespan is reduced. It is generally advisable to keep the wave spacing between 1.5-2.5mm.
