During physical drying (i.e. solvent evaporation), the actual hardening of the ink film is caused by the chemical cross-linking reaction between the ink and the hardener. Higher temperatures can accelerate its chemical cross-linking reaction. When printing quickly, the ink film that should be printed first should be added before it has solidified. If dried at room temperature, printing should be done within 48 hours (using hardener TPH1) or 8 hours (using hardener TPH2) after the previous printing. The use and curing temperature of ink should not be lower than 15 ℃, otherwise irreversible damage may occur. Meanwhile, due to the sensitivity of hardeners to humidity, excessive humidity should be avoided in the hours after printing.
The TPU series ink with 2 fade resistance only uses pigments with strong fade resistance. After mixing and blending with printing varnish or other colored inks (especially white ink), its resistance to fading and wind erosion will be weakened to varying degrees due to different blending ratios. If the thickness of the printing ink layer becomes thinner, it will also weaken its resistance to fading. If used outdoors, hardener TPH1 must be used. The pigment used in TPU ink has the characteristics of solvent resistance and plasticization resistance.
After appropriate drying, the ink film exhibits good adhesion, scratch resistance, abrasion resistance, and adhesion resistance, as well as resistance to a large amount of chemicals, oils, fats, and solvents. But its glass prints do not have washability (in this case, it is recommended to use Malabo special glass ink GL).

The TPU series is particularly suitable for printing processed PE and PP, as well as PU, PA (polyamide), melamine resin, phenolic resin, metal, anodized aluminum, painted surfaces, powder coated surfaces, wood, and glass printing (please note that glass printing should only be used for decorative purposes as this ink is not washable). If used for POM (polyoxymethylene) printing, such as Hostaform C or Delrin, good adhesion can be obtained by drying (300-400 ℃, 3-4 seconds). Due to the different printability of the above-mentioned substrates, even for the same material, a trial printing should be conducted to test whether its printability meets specific requirements.
