The opening and closing components of the forged steel high-pressure globe valve J41W are plug shaped valve discs, with a sealing surface that is flat or conical. The valve disc moves linearly along the centerline of the fluid. The movement form of the valve stem includes a lifting rod type (the valve stem is lifted and lowered without the handwheel lifting), as well as a lifting rotating rod type (the handwheel rotates and lifts together with the valve stem, and the nut is set on the valve body). Globe valves are only suitable for fully open and fully closed, and are not allowed to be adjusted or throttled.

There are three types of valve cover designs for high-temperature and high-pressure forged steel globe valves with integral flange ends. The bolt type valve cover is connected by concave and convex surfaces, using stainless steel strips and flexible graphite wrapped gaskets, and can also be connected by rings as needed. The second type of globe valve is a welded valve cover, which is sealed with threads and welded, and can also be directly welded with rigid welding as needed. The third type of high-pressure forged steel globe valve is a self sealing valve cover, which is connected to the self sealing valve cover through threads.

A globe valve refers to a valve in which the closing element (valve disc) moves along the centerline of the valve seat. According to the movement of the valve disc, the change in the valve seat opening is directly proportional to the stroke of the valve disc.

Due to the relatively short opening or closing stroke of the valve stem and the highly reliable shut-off function of this type of globe valve, as well as the proportional relationship between the change of the valve seat opening and the stroke of the valve disc, it is very suitable for regulating flow rate. Therefore, this type of valve is very suitable for use as a cut-off, regulating, and throttling device.

1. High temperature and high pressure forged steel globe valves should be selected for pipelines or devices with high temperature and high pressure media. High temperature and high-pressure pipelines in thermal power plants, nuclear power plants, and petrochemical systems.

2. On pipelines with lax flow resistance requirements. Places where pressure loss is not given much consideration.

3. Small valves can be selected from needle valves, instrument valves, sampling valves, pressure gauge valves, etc.

4. There is flow regulation or pressure regulation, but the requirement for regulation accuracy is not high, and the pipeline diameter is relatively small, such as on pipelines with nominal diameter ≤ 50mm, it is recommended to choose.

5. Small and large fertilizers in synthetic industry production should use high-pressure angle globe valves or high-pressure angle throttling valves with nominal pressure PN160 and nominal pressure 16MPa or PN320 and nominal pressure 32MPa.

6. In the desilication workshop and coking prone pipelines of alumina Bayer process production, it is easy to choose DC globe valves or DC throttling valves with separate valve bodies, removable valve seats, and hard alloy sealing pairs.

7. For water supply and heating projects in urban construction, shut-off valves, balance valves, or plunger valves can be used for pipelines with a nominal diameter of less than 150mm.
