The structure of a fast thermocouple mainly consists of a temperature measuring coupling head and a large paper tube. The coupling line is supported and protected by quartz. The outer part is equipped with a slag proof cover, and all components are concentrated in the mud head and bonded together as a whole with refractory filler. It is immovable, therefore it is disposable.

Quick use of thermocouples
1: Select the appropriate length of protective paper tube and suitable temperature gun based on the measurement object and measurement range.
2: Install the fast thermocouple on the temperature gun and reset the pointer (or digital display) of the auxiliary instrument to zero. This means good contact and the ability to perform measurements.
3: The depth of inserting the fast thermocouple into the molten steel should be 300-400mm. Do not measure on the furnace wall or slag during the measurement period. Make it fast, stable, and accurate. When the secondary instrument obtains results, the spray gun should be immediately raised, and the immersion time of the rapid thermocouple in the molten steel should not exceed 5 seconds, otherwise the temperature measuring gun is prone to combustion.
4: After removing the temperature measuring gun from the furnace, take out the used thermocouple and install a new one, pause for a few minutes, and then prepare for the next measurement. Do not even conduct testing and disassembly, otherwise it may cause temperature fluctuations.
Rapid thermocouple process:
1: Consumable rapid thermocouples (temperature measurement probes) are used to measure metals in steelmaking and ironmaking processes, including electric furnaces, converters, refining furnaces, LF furnaces, oxygen blowing stations, ladles, ladles, intermediate ladles, etc. Designed for liquid temperature.
2: Fast thermocouples achieve temperature measurement by measuring thermoelectric potential. Its main part is the connector. It is composed of two different metal materials. The compensation line, U-shaped quartz tube, plastic bracket, high-temperature mud head, protective cover, and paper tube are integrated together. Although it is a consumable, its performance will directly affect the quality of the tested product. Therefore, for the production process of fast thermocouples, the quality, installation, welding, technical inspection, inventory storage and other requirements of each component are very strict.
3: When in use, simply connect it to a temperature gun, manually or mechanically insert it into a certain depth of high-temperature melt, and transfer the obtained thermoelectric potential to an intelligent display device to obtain the melt temperature value.
