At present, one of the reliability standards for Japanese car lights is to pay attention to whether the uneven temperature inside and outside the lights during the starting process (simulating rain or car washing process) will cause fog inside the lights and affect the lighting performance. As a result, the dual temperature zone fog test for car lights, the water droplet test for car lights, and the car wash test with temperature and humidity adjustment for car lights have emerged.
Test basis:
According to section 4.4.6 of Toyota TSC3000G, conduct the test:
Experimental conditions
1. After initial humidity adjustment, the test sample is placed in the testing machine in a regular delivery state
2. After setting the RH of the lamp shell side to 20 and the lamp back (base side) to 23 and 55%, place the lamp in the off state for 1 hour
3. Set the back of the lamp to 80 and turn on the low beam (including the low beam lighting function lamp) with a bulb voltage of 13.0V
4. Control the temperature on the back of the lamp to rise linearly from 23 * 80 at 30 ± 5 minutes, but the humidity is below 10% RH at 80 minutes
5. Observe the occurrence of fog every 10 minutes after lighting, and measure the time of fog occurrence
6. For situations where there is no fog for 1 hour continuously, observe every 30 minutes at intervals of 1 hour and 30 minutes, and extend the observation for 2 hours
7. On the side of the lamp shell, observe and confirm the occurrence of fog with the light (when confirming fog, the lamp should be turned off)
