Working principle of spray dryer
After filtering and heating, the air enters the top air distributor of the dryer, and the hot air enters the drying chamber uniformly in a spiral shape. The feed liquid passes through the high-speed centrifugal atomizer on the top of the tower body, and (rotating) spray into extremely fine mist like liquid beads, which can be dried into finished products in a very short time in parallel with hot air. The finished product is continuously output from the bottom of the drying tower and the cyclone separator, and the exhaust gas is discharged by the induced draft fan. Use process of spray drying equipment
1. Preparation for spray dryer test
1.1. Is the sealing material installed at the pipeline connection and connected to prevent unheated air from entering the drying chamber.
1.2. Check whether static equipment, pipes, static sealing points and high-speed centrifugal spray dryer are blocked due to running, emitting, dripping and leakage.
1.3. Check if the door and observation window are closed and if there is any air leakage.
1.4. Check whether the locks, instruments, valves, etc. of the electric high-speed centrifugal spray dryer are normal. Tighten the pollinator at the bottom of the barrel and the bottom of the cyclone separator, and it is necessary to clean and dry the pollinator. Before installation, check if the sealing ring has come off, and only tighten the pollinator if it has not come off.
1.5. Press the start button of the centrifugal fan to check if the rotation direction of the fan is correct.
1.6. Fill the oil inlet of the centrifugal nozzle motor with oil to more than half of the observation hole, and then turn on the oil circulation pump.
1.7. Check if the regulating butterfly valve at the outlet of the centrifugal fan is open. (Note: It is not necessary to close the butterfly valve tightly, otherwise it will damage the electric heater and follow the air duct. This must be fully noted.)
1.8. Is the connecting pipeline of the feed pump properly connected, and is the rotation direction of the motor and pump correct.
1.9. Whether the spray head placed on the top of the drying chamber is well covered to avoid air leakage.
1.10. Close the outlet of the feed pump.

2. Spray dryerCheck power on
2.1. Turn on the centrifugal fan and check the operation of the fan equipment, including whether there is vibration, abnormal sound and odor of the high-speed centrifugal spray dryer, whether the temperature of the motor and bearing is normal, and whether the anchor screws are loose.
2.2. (Start steam heating first) Turn on the electric heater (electric heating serves as an auxiliary heating function) and check for any electrical leakage (if there is an electrical leakage, the control cabinet will automatically trip). Preheat the cylinder body at a temperature between 180-220 ℃.
2.3. Turn on the shutdown fan.
2.4. Place the centrifugal spray head, turn on the centrifugal spray head, slowly adjust the frequency of the atomizer to a certain frequency (determined according to the actual situation), and let the spray head reach theAt high speed, turn on the feed pump and open the outlet valve of the feed pump. Simultaneously open the pollinators at the bottom of the barrel and the bottom of the cyclone separator to receive the feed. (During continuous production, it is not necessary to clean every batch of materials. It needs to be determined based on the corrosiveness of the materials. When washing the centrifugal nozzle, it usually does not need to be disassembled and cleaned with clean water using a screw pump.)
2.5. Slowly open the valve of the centrifugal nozzle to increase the feeding amount from small to large, otherwise wall sticking will occur, until it is adjusted to the appropriate requirement to maintain a constant exhaust temperature.
2.6. The dried finished product is collected and placed in the pollinators at the bottom of the tower and the cyclone separator. Before the pollinators are filled, they should be replaced. When replacing the pollinators, the butterfly valve on top must be closed before proceeding.
3. Spray dryerNormal maintenance and inspection contents of startup work program
3.1 Record the parameters of the process high-speed centrifugal spray dryer and the current of the main required equipment every hour, and carefully make production records.
3.2. Check whether the high-speed centrifugal spray dryer at static equipment, pipeline, chute and static sealing point is blocked due to running, emitting, dripping and leakage.
3.3. Check the operation of pump equipment, including whether the high-speed centrifugal spray dryer has vibration and abnormal sound, whether the motor and bearing temperature are normal, whether the anchor screws are loose, and whether the outlet pressure is normal.
3.4. Maintenance of Centrifugal Nozzle
3.4.1. In case of noise and vibration during operation, stop the machine immediately to take out the atomizer, check whether there are residual substances in the spray tray, and if there are, clean it in time.
3.4.2. Check for any abnormalities in bearings, bushings, shafts, gears, and other transmission components. If found, replace damaged parts promptly.
3.4.3. The mechanical transmission atomizer adopts high-speed gear rotation. High speed lubricating and cooling oil must be continuously circulated and cooled to ensure good lubrication of gears, shafts, and bearings. The viscosity of the operating oil (which can be hydraulic oil or spindle oil) should not be too high.
3.4.4. Increase the operating life of the atomizer by alternately operating the nozzle for 8 consecutive hours or rotating according to the situation. The lubricating oil of rolling bearings should be replaced every 150-200 hours. During operation, you can press the oil cup switch every 1-2 hours to add a few drops of lubricating oil to lubricate the liner. Simply flip the small handle on the top of the oil cup up and down a few times, then place the handle flat. If it is vertical, the oil cup will remain in the refueling state, and the oil in the cup will be quickly refilled. However, adding too much oil will also contaminate the product.
3.4.5. After the operation is completed, water should be sprayed for cleaning.
3.4.6 During disassembly and assembly, the main shaft shall not be bent. When installing the spray disk, the gap between the disk and the housing shall be controlled by a plug. The nut fixing the spray disk must be tightened to prevent loosening and falling off. 3.4.7. After the work is completed, it is important to avoid placing it horizontally during transportation. 4. Shut down the spray dryer
4.1 Normal shutdown
4.1.1. (First turn off steam heating and electric heating for cooling, and at the same time turn off the feed pump (screw pump) for cooling) When the inlet temperature drops to 90 ℃, turn it off. The atomizer can be turned off when the temperature is below 90 ℃, and the circulating fan can be turned off when the temperature is below 60 ℃.
4.1.2 After spraying, switch the feed liquid to the solvent, adjust the atomizer frequency to 50HZ, spray for about 10 minutes, slowly slow down the atomizer speed to about 20HZ, and turn off the power supply of the centrifugal nozzle.
4.1.3. Keep the centrifugal fan running, reduce the temperature in the cyclone spray drying tower to 40-50 ℃, and then turn off the fan power.

4.2. Emergency shutdown
4.2.1. When the temperature of the electric heating system is too high, the power supply of the electric heating system needs to be immediately turned off to prevent the electric heating system from being burned out or causing accidents such as fires.
4.2.2. When the centrifugal fan operates abnormally or stops running, it needs to be urgently shut down.
4.2.3. Emergency stop, press the "emergency stop switch" on the control cabinet. Simultaneously close the steam valve.
5. Precautions for spray dryer operation
5.1. When the oxygen concentration does not reach 21%, it is strictly prohibited to open the inspection door, otherwise it may cause the user to lack oxygen and suffocate.
5.2. When starting the freezer, the circulating water must be turned on;
5.3. Before each drive, the two fuel ports of the atomizer must be filled with fuel;
During closed use, when spraying organic solvents, the oxygen concentration must be controlled below 5% (which can be achieved by reintroducing N2 or restarting the machine to achieve the required oxygen concentration), otherwise there is a risk of combustion or explosion of the organic solvents.
5.5. The equipment does not need to touch rotating parts (atomizer, atomizing disc, belt, motor fan blades) during operation.
During the operation or shutdown of the equipment, if the surface temperature is relatively high, do not touch the bag filter, cyclone separator, air duct, atomizer, exhaust fan, observation window and other components with your hands.
5.7. When the temperature of the drying tower does not drop to room temperature, there is no need to enter the tower.
5.8. When opening and closing the inspection door, disassembling and assembling the air duct, cyclone separator, and atomizer, if your hands and fingers are caught.
