Diarrhetic Shellfish Poisoning (DSP) is a lipophilic polycyclic ether bioactive substance produced by some species of red tide algae, including the genera Actinobacteria and Prorocentrum. Diarrhea shellfish can accumulate in filter feeding animals such as shellfish, posing a health hazard to consumers. Diarrhea bivalves are distributed in coastal waters and are one of the red tide algae with serious threats worldwide.
The main symptoms of diarrhea include diarrhea, vomiting, nausea, abdominal pain, and headache. The onset time can vary from 30 minutes or 14 hours after eating, and generally recovers within 48 hours. General antidiarrheal drugs cannot cure it. DSP is not a lethal factor and usually only causes mild gastrointestinal diseases, with symptoms quickly resolving without strong acute effects. However, Oosponge acid (OA) is a strong carcinogen.
Diarrhea shellfish fluorescent quantitative detection kitFeatures: Provides a handheld fluorescence detector, suitable for rapid on-site or laboratory testing; Good repeatability and small errors in laboratory and inter laboratory testing results; High sensitivity and high recovery rate; Easy to operate, testing can be completed in 10-20 minutes.
