Overview

The BADGER flowmeter adopts the traditional principle of capacitive target flowmeter, ensuring the durability, practicality, and long service life of asphalt flowmeter, while also providing the advantages of high measurement accuracy and good stability. A flow measurement instrument used for various asphalt flow meters. The entire asphalt flow meter system consists of a flow sensor (target sensor), an intelligent LCD host, temperature and pressure compensation components, and instrument valve components. Flow meters can also be used for measuring various pure impurities and corrosive media. The BADGER flowmeter has a wide range of measurement, high accuracy, stable performance, and can measure high temperature and high viscosity liquids

Product Details

BADGER flowmeterIt adopts the traditional principle of capacitive target flowmeter to ensure the durability, practicality, and long service life of asphalt flowmeter, while also providing the advantages of high measurement accuracy and good stability. Due to its large range, high accuracy, stable performance, ability to measure high temperature and high viscosity liquids, easy installation, and convenient operation, BADGER flowmeter is suitable for fluid measurement in industrial sectors such as petroleum extraction, refining, chemical, commercial, and oil storage.

BADGER flowmeterAfter installation on the pressure reducing valve, the wet saturated steam suddenly decreases significantly, causing adiabatic expansion of the fluid, partial evaporation of water droplets, and absorption of vaporization heat from the liquid and vapor phases, resulting in a decrease in the temperature of the vapor-liquid phase. If the temperature does not decrease much or the humidity before evaporation is high, the temperature will rapidly decrease to the saturation temperature corresponding to the new pressure, establishing a new equilibrium. At this point, the steam is still saturated steam. If the pressure decreases significantly or the humidity before evaporation is low, the BADGER flowmeter will still have a temperature lower than the saturation temperature corresponding to the new pressure due to the evaporation of water droplets. If the flowmeter can only be installed behind the pressure reducing valve, an additional pressure transmitter can be installed for temperature and pressure compensation.

BADGER flowmeterDue to the limitations of structural principles, it is required that the flow velocity distribution be uniform during measurement. However, due to the complexity of on-site measuring pipelines, the flow velocity distribution of gas in the pipeline cannot be uniformly symmetrical. Therefore, orifice flowmeters are sensitive to asymmetric flow velocity distribution. Ultrasonic flow meters can correct the phenomenon of asymmetric flow velocity distribution. The principle of flow meters determines that their on-site usage conditions must be consistent with the design conditions, and their adaptability to pressure and flow is poor. Ultrasonic flow meters have strong adaptability to the field, while BADGER flow meters are insensitive to pressure and flow fluctuations and have strong overload capacity. The use of gas ultrasonic flow meters has significant advantages over orifice flow meters in terms of safety performance, technical performance, one-time investment, and operating costs. Due to the need to explain the problem, it is generally advantageous to choose gas ultrasonic flow meters for flow meters with a diameter of DN200 or above through comparative calculations. For flow meters with a diameter of DN150 or below, using orifice flow meters is more economical due to the price factor of gas ultrasonic flow meters. However, BADGER flow meters also choose more accurate measuring instruments to ensure measurement accuracy.
