mechb2bIndustry NewsZinfra CATL: Building a New Model of "Product+Service" for Energy Storage in Australia
Recently, Australian energy infrastructure service provider Zinfra and CATL officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a strategic cooperation framework. Both parties will jointly deliver and operate the large-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Australia, accelerating CATL's localization layout in the Australian market.
Zinfra is a leading energy and utility infrastructure service provider in Australia, specializing in engineering, project management, and operations in the power and gas sector. Its annual project and service portfolio exceeds AUD 1.2 billion, and it has extensive experience in power and gas network construction and maintenance, as well as renewable energy asset delivery. This cooperation is an important step for CATL to implement the comprehensive capability of "product+service" in overseas markets. It aims to strengthen the local operation and service capabilities required for overseas energy storage projects through a light asset and low-risk model, leveraging Zinfra's local project channels and engineering delivery capabilities.
As of now, CATL has ranked first in the world in terms of battery shipments for five consecutive years. According to SNE Research statistics, by 2025, CATL's market share of energy storage battery shipments will reach 30.4%, with a total of approximately 2300 global application projects. In the future, CATL will continue to work with local partners such as Zinfra to empower Australia's energy transformation with advanced energy storage battery technology and help build a more resilient and sustainable energy infrastructure.
