4 key points for maintaining pressure gauges

(1) The pressure gauge should be kept clean, and the glass on the dial should be bright and clear, so that the pressure value indicated by the pointer inside the dial can be clearly seen. Pressure gauges with broken dial glass or unclear dial scales should be stopped from use.

(2) The connecting pipe of the pressure gauge should be regularly flushed to avoid blockage. Especially for pressure gauge connecting pipes used for gases with a lot of oil stains or other viscous substances, they should be blown and cleaned frequently.

(3) Regularly check whether the rotation and fluctuation of the pressure gauge pointer are normal, and check whether the plug on the connecting pipe is in the fully open position.

(4) The pressure gauge must be calibrated regularly, at least once a year by a qualified measuring unit. After verification, the verification record and verification certificate should be carefully filled out and sealed with lead. Pressure gauges that have exceeded the calibration period should be discontinued. During the normal operation of boilers and pressure vessels, if abnormal readings or other suspicious signs are found on the pressure gauge, immediate inspection and calibration should be carried out.
