What are the performance indicators and requirements for planetary ball mills
Date: 2022-06-06Read: 2

Planetary ball millAlso known as planetary ball mill, it has become a new favorite among laboratory grinding instruments in recent years. Compared with traditional conventional grinding equipment, it has high and stable working efficiency, good grinding effect, and can grind various types of samples, which is very convenient. Named after its working mode similar to planets in the solar system, it imitates the motion of planets rotating while revolving around a star.

Performance indicators and requirements:
1. Rotational speed: Rotational speed is an important target of planetary ball mills. To grind the material finely and quickly, an appropriate rotational speed should be selected.
2. Continuous operation time: When using a ball mill to manufacture submicron or nano materials, it is often necessary for the equipment to operate continuously at full load for more than 50 hours, and the process conditions (such as speed) should not change.
3. Commonality: For the same material and process, it is required that two or four cans have a common grinding effect, which can be achieved through gear transmission, but it is difficult to achieve through belt transmission.
4. Repeatability: For the same material and process, it is required to repeat ball milling multiple times to achieve the same effect. It can be achieved through gear transmission, but not through belt transmission.
5. Noise: In the unloaded high-speed rolling state, the noise of the belt rolling is 66dB, and the noise of the gear transmission is 68dB. However, in the full load operation state, the noise of both transmissions is the same, at 75dB.
6. Speed ratio: The speed ratio between revolution and rotation is a skill performance target of planetary ball mills, which is closely and chaotically related to factors such as speed size and grinding time.
