Density is a physical property of matter, and the density of different substances generally varies, reflecting their different properties. Therefore, substances can be identified based on their density. The density does not change with the shape and spatial location of the material, but changes with the state, temperature, and pressure of the material. For example, the three states of water - ice, water, and water vapor - have different densities; In a steam boiler, the same type of steam has different steam densities due to different pressures.
During the use of density, due to different application fields and material forms, there are significant differences in the definition of its volume. For example, for block metal, its volume is the volume of discharged water; For grains such as corn and millet, we are more concerned about their pile volume; For porous materials, it is necessary to understand their skeleton volume. For this, a strict definition of volume is required. According to application requirements, volume can be divided into three categories: compact volume, natural volume, and pile volume.
(1) Compact volume
Dense volume refers to the volume in a dense state, that is, the volume of the solid material itself that constitutes the material. For example: jade, steel plate, agate, rubber, etc.
(2) Natural volume
Natural volume refers to the volume in its natural state, which is the sum of the volume of solid matter and the total pore volume. For example, bread has honeycomb like openings on the surface and closed holes like bubbles inside. There are many similar materials, such as wood, permeable brick, molecular sieve, activated carbon, foam, etc.
(3) Accumulated volume
Accumulated volume refers to the sum of the volume in its natural state and the gaps between particles. Common in daily life, such as grains, cement, soil, etc.
The concepts related to density, such as bulk density, apparent density, and true density, are closely related to the three volumes mentioned above. Taking porous materials as an example, their volume includes three parts: open pores, closed pores, and solids, as shown in the following figure. Penetrating into the interior of the material to form a closed state, pores that are not connected to the outside are called closed pores, and the sum of all closed pore volumes is called closed pores. One end opens on the surface of the material, and the other end penetrates deep into the interior of the material, which is called a blind hole; One end opens on the surface of the material, and there are also openings on the surface of the other end that pass through the material, called through holes; One end opens a hole on the surface of the material, and after penetrating into the interior of the material, several interconnected branches are generated. These branches are all connected to the surface of the material through the main hole, known as cross-linked pores. Blind holes, through holes, and cross-linked holes all have a common feature, which is that one end is connected to the outside world. Therefore, these types of holes are collectively referred to as open holes, and the sum of the open volume composed of these holes is called open pores.

Instrument Features
(1) Adapt to the measurement needs of different samples such as block, granular, powder, liquid, etc;
(2) The automatic repeated measurement state can be run repeatedly;
(3) The pressure balance time can be set flexibly by the user;
(4) The analysis only takes a few minutes to run once;
(5) For the user selected number of cycles and scheduled cleaning, there is a pulse signal (pressure/pressure reduction) for the sample preparation/cleaning status;

Advantages of fully automatic true density meter products
(1) Integrated module: The solenoid valve, sensor, and sample cell adopt an integrated design, reducing dead volume, compact structure, and good sealing performance;
(2) Temperature field uniformity technology: adopting a modular design without pipelines, the ambient temperature and module temperature are balanced, and the gas temperature field is uniform;

Application field
Research and quality control: ceramics, catalysts, filter materials, nuclear fuel, petrochemical industry, soil, fertilizer, carbon black, coke, fiber, minerals, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, cement, powder food, desiccant, powder metal, ion exchange resin, silica gel, alumina, solid foam, etc.
