Overview

The wheat hardness index tester uses this instrument to measure wheat hardness, with high resolution, good reproducibility, and the advantages of accurate, simple, and fast measurement. Suitable for use in wheat storage departments, flour mills, grain depots, grain inspection departments, and research departments. This instrument is based on the principle that soft and hard wheat have different mechanical crushing strengths, and comprehensively utilizes the differences in particle size distribution and flowability of wheat with different hardness after grinding or crushing to determine wheat hardness.

Product Details

Wheat hardness index testerFeatures
Product principle: Wheat with different hardness has different resistance to mechanical crushing. During crushing, wheat with harder grain quality is not easily crushed into powder, while wheat with softer grain quality is easily crushed into powder. When crushing samples under specified conditions, the more samples left on the sieve, the higher the hardness of wheat, and vice versa.
The determination method of the product has a significant linear positive correlation with the wheat hardness index value measured by the universal particle size index method (PSI method), with a correlation coefficient of 0.98.
This product is developed in accordance with GB1354-2008 "Wheat", GB/T21304-2007 "Determination of Wheat Hardness - Hardness Index Method" and other industry standards. The main principle is to use the different mechanical crushing strengths of soft and hard wheat, that is, to crush the sample under specified conditions by utilizing the characteristics of hard wheat that is not easily powdery and soft wheat that is easily powdery, so as to calculate the hardness of wheat based on the ratio of the mass of the sample remaining on the sieve to the total mass of the sample

Wheat hardness index testerApplication:
1. The hardness of wheat grains is closely related to both food quality and processing quality. It is significantly correlated or significantly correlated with flour yield, wheat flour whiteness, protein, gluten content, etc. It is an important quality indicator for wheat classification and pricing.
2. The setting and adjustment of wheat milling process parameters vary depending on the hardness of wheat. Therefore, pre measuring the hardness of wheat has important technical guidance significance for timely adjusting the milling process and corresponding technical parameters, determining the wheat blending scheme, maintaining material balance and production stability in the process, and improving production efficiency.
3. This instrument is based on the principle that soft and hard wheat have different mechanical crushing strengths, and comprehensively utilizes the differences in particle size distribution and flowability of wheat with different hardness after grinding or crushing to determine wheat hardness.
4. Using this instrument to measure wheat hardness has the advantages of high resolution, good reproducibility, accuracy, simplicity, and speed. Suitable for use in wheat storage departments, flour mills, grain depots, grain inspection departments, and research departments.
