SENS-IT is a patented technology product of Unitec, an Italian company. It has the advantages of novel technology, compact structure, and low price. Each SENS-IT sensor is specifically designed to measure specific pollutant gases (CO, NO2, O3, C6H6, etc.), with high sensitivity and selectivity (some gas measurement accuracy can reach ppb). The SENS-IT sensor adopts an aluminum alloy shell and an embedded electronic board, which can fully control the sensor performance electronically. SENS-IT has RS485 output, allowing it to be integrated into existing acquisition devices or monitoring networks. All functional parameters can be electronically controlled and remotely calibrated.

Working Principle:

图片关键词SENS-IT uses Thick Film Metal Oxide Semiconductor Technology (TF-MOS) for CO, NO2, O3, C6H6, and CH4 gases. The active surface of the sensor is a nanostructured semiconductor metal oxide, and the first reaction that occurs on the sensor surface is the adsorption of oxygen in the atmosphere, resulting in charge transfer from oxygen molecules to the semiconductor. The second reaction is related to a specific gas to be monitored, which reacts with adsorbed oxygen (redox reaction), causing electrons to be released in the conduction band of the semiconductor. By extracting the current signals generated in these reactions, the concentration of the gas can be calculated. The selectivity and accuracy of the sensor are achieved through the use of special semiconductor metal oxides. Due to the stability of the sensor and the lack of consumption of active surfaces, it ensures long-term data repeatability without the need for frequent maintenance.

For SO2, H2S, NH3, and VOC gases, SENS-IT uses traditional electrochemical methods (EC, Electrochemical Technology), while for CO2, infrared technology (IR, Infrared Technology) is used

Application scope:

Monitoring of urban and industrial areas
Factory boundary monitoring
Smart City Network
Environmental Mobile Monitoring
Indication measurement (according to European 2008/50/EC standards)
