DUST-IT-2 is an optical based fine particulate matter sensor that can be used to connect and measure the content of fine particulate matter (PM10 and PM2.5), and can be easily integrated into monitoring systems for various applications.

The determination of particulate matter content in DUST-IT-2 is based on the principle of light scattering measurement. Air is drawn in through an integrated fan at a speed of 2 liters per minute, so the speed is slow. Choose the velocity of the gas being measured to determine the particles in a representative manner. Fine particulate matter in the ambient air enters the equipment through a gas sampling tube and passes through an electrostatic precipitator. The concentrations of PM10 and PM2.5 are continuously measured by corresponding sensor modules. For the measurement of inhalable alveolar particulate matter (PM2.5), an integrated pre separator with residual dust storage is required. In this device, the zero point and reference point can be periodically controlled and calibrated, which is achieved by an electrostatic precipitator with an integrated high-voltage module. Realize high stability of zero point by evaluating internal measurement signals. In addition to standard Modbus, communication ports can also choose 4-20 mA current loops or integrated WLAN modules.
