With the rapid development of the national economy, China's railway transportation is becoming increasingly tense and overloaded. While there is an urgent need to build and expand railway lines, it is also necessary to continuously strengthen the maintenance and repair of distant railways to meet and ensure the needs of China's economic development for railway capacity and safety. The stiffness of railway sleeper support and the longitudinal and transverse resistance of the track bed are important parameters for monitoring and identifying the condition of the railway track bed during the maintenance of new and old railways. They play a crucial role in scientifically evaluating the quality of the track bed and the safety of the line.

The GDY-3 type railway track bed resistance and support stiffness tester (hereinafter referred to as the stiffness tester) is an instrument used for measuring the support stiffness of railway track sleepers and the longitudinal and transverse resistance of the track bed. Its purpose is to provide elastic and longitudinal and transverse resistance parameters for the evaluation of the track bed state.

3、 Working principle

Principle of transverse and longitudinal resistance detection of track bed:

Using hydraulic equipment and corresponding supporting devices, align two adjacent concrete sleepers (measuring lateral resistance) perpendicular to the direction of the steel rail; (Measuring longitudinal resistance) Parallel to the direction of the steel rail, hydraulic equipment is used to move it horizontally or vertically. An automatic acquisition system is used to obtain the displacement and lateral or longitudinal resistance data of the concrete sleeper from a static state to the loading process of the hydraulic system, in order to obtain the transverse or longitudinal resistance of the track bed when both sleepers produce a displacement of more than 2mm.

Principle of testing the stiffness of track bed support:

Using hydraulic equipment and corresponding supporting devices, the steel rail is used as a reaction support point to apply vertical pressure to the concrete sleeper. An automatic acquisition system is used to obtain the data changes between the displacement and vertical pressure of the concrete sleeper from the static state to the hydraulic system loading exceeding 35kN, thereby obtaining the support stiffness of the track bed.
