Principle:water saturationAfter inserting the ceramic head into the soil, the soil tension draws water from the ceramic head into the soil, and the reading on the tension meter at equilibrium is the soil water potential.

Usage steps:

1．Remove the tension meter and soil drill from the sleeve, check the water level in the tension meter, unscrew the nut on top and fill it with deionized water.

2．At the experimental site, first drill a hole with a soil drill, and then place a tension meter into the hole.

3．waitAfter 5-30 minutes of balancing, the values on the table can be read. If the water level drops too quickly, do not let it drop to the intersection. You can unscrew the nut and fill it with water, then wait for the balance reading.

Daily maintenance:

In general, no special maintenance is required. Pay attention to keeping the ceramic head of the tension meter moist, that is, keeping water in the tension meter at all times. If the clay head is too dry, it will crack and be damaged.
