Overview
ModuLab MTS (Material Electrical Properties Testing System) is a modular, integrated research system that can be used to test the electrical properties of most materials, from insulators to superconductors. This testing system provides time-domain techniques, such as constant current, to determine the electrical properties of materials through pulse voltage and scanning voltage (I-V); We also provide AC technologies such as impedance, capacitance, C-V, or Mott Schottky to provide more detailed information for further analysis of the material's conductivity mechanism; And the instrument offers a range of optional modules.
Product Details

Many testing systems can test the electrical properties of materials. Typical system analysis can be divided into two categories: either providing time-domain techniques, such as constant current, to determine the electrical properties of materials through pulse voltage and scan voltage (I-V); Either provide AC technologies such as impedance, capacitance, C-V, or Mott Schottky to provide more detailed information for further analysis of the material's conductivity mechanism. In many cases, depending on the type of material being tested, multiple suppliers are usually required to provide various equipment, including amplifiers, power amplifiers, temperature control testing equipment (low-temperature systems or high-temperature furnaces), sensitive current amplifiers, etc.

ModuLab XM MTS integrates all the above functions into a modular system, providing * methods for material testing. The core MAT module provides high-speed time-domain testing capabilities, and optional modules can also be added to the system, such as adding a frequency response analysis module to provide impedance/C-V testing capabilities, adding an analog amplifier to provide high potential/low current testing, and adding temperature control accessories to achieve temperature control. This modular approach has the following advantages for users:

  • Low startup cost - you can purchase MAT core components and host box first, and then purchase optional accessories when funds permit.
  • Cost saving - The modules and accessories purchased for this system are applicable to all testing techniques. Current and high potential amplifiers are used for time-domain and AC testing, and all tests can achieve temperature control.
  • Easy to operate - using the same system software in all tests reduces learning time and increases familiarity.
  • System maintenance - When a module of the system fails to work normally, other components of the system will not be affected. When the module is taken out for maintenance, other components can continue to work normally.

The system has two size configurations to meet different budgets and can be tailored to fit your research needs, adapting and expanding your research depth and breadth.

The Modulab XM MTS software is comprehensive, flexible, and easy to operate. The system has multiple testing types to choose from, ranging from standard open circuit voltage, I-V, C-V, and Mott Schottky testing to complex multi-step sequence testing, including sample preparation, * experimental techniques, and comprehensive impedance analysis.

  • Charts were used at all stages of the experiment to enable users to accurately understand what kind of testing their samples need to undergo. Once the parameters are entered into the software, the waveform diagram in the software will provide the actual time required for the experiment and the experimental settings when the sample is running.
  • The software also provides a wiring diagram for users to check if the sample is properly connected and make adjustments before starting the test.
  • The software provides multiple data collection modes for users to freely choose from without being limited by the selected experimental type. For example, when conducting voltage pulse experiments, a high data sampling rate is chosen to analyze the actual shape of the pulses (voltage and current) in order to select * test points.
  • In order to enable users to perform sequence AC, DC, temperature, and impedance testing separately, the software provides a large number of cyclic testing setting methods for easy use.
  • Navigation based tree structure
The navigable tree structure allows users to set and display templates, experiments, parameters, graphics, and reports for browsing. For a specific sample or group of samples, multiple items can be grouped into sequence experiments and archived.
  • Integrated DC/impedance
The experiment may involve a single or multiple sequential steps. The integration of DC time-domain and AC impedance steps enables sequential experiments such as constant voltage I-V, C-V, Mott Schottky, and voltage pulses. The software even allows single wave scanning, harmonic analysis, and multi wave FFT functions to be operated in AC mode simultaneously.
  • data analysis
The routine program for data simulation is integrated into ModuLab software, including line, circle, and equivalent circuit simulations. The equivalent circuit model can use a series of components including resistors, capacitors, inductors, distributed parameter elements, constant phase elements, and diffusion elements. Some widely used models are pre-set in the software, while other models can be easily established using a graphical equivalent circuit model editor, which can be used to build very complex impedance models in many material applications.
  • Data Report Template
The built-in data report template format will take the experimental results and output them to the word processor along with charts, curves, and analysis results. Building a report is simple and easy to implement
