Product Details

Rolled finned tubeIt is named based on the nature of the process, usually referring to finned tubes rolled into shape;

Rolled finned tubeThe most commonly used finned tubes for heat exchange between liquid media such as steam, thermal oil, water, ethylene glycol, and air use rolled finned tubes as the main heat exchange components. It is the main structural component of air coolers and air heat exchangers.

Rolled finned tubeConsideration of fin parameter selection
1. Selection of fin height: For commonly used finned tubes in engineering, when the fin height is 15mm, the fin efficiency is about 0.8,When the fin height is 20mm, the fin efficiency decreases to about 0.7. This indicates that choosing a wing height of 15mm is appropriate. If choosing a wing height of 20mm or more, special care should be taken as its fin efficiency is too low and is generally not used. For the aluminum fins used in air coolers, due to the much higher thermal conductivity of aluminum compared to carbon steel, its fin efficiency is higher, and the fin height is increased to 22-25mmIt is also acceptable.
2. Selection of fin pitch: Choosing a smaller pitch can effectively increase the fin ratio. But when choosing the pitch, special care should also be taken.
Factors to consider include:
a, The properties of the swirling gas and the possibility of dust accumulation. It can be divided into three situations: firstly, in situations where ash accumulation is particularly severe, such as in the exhaust of electric furnaces, converters, and some industrial kilns in steel plants, where the ash content is high, if finned tubes are used for heat exchange, a large fin pitch must be selected. For example, if the pitch is above 10mm, it should be supplemented by a reasonable ash discharge design and the selection of soot blowers.
b, Dust accumulation may not be very serious, but it should also be taken seriously in situations such as power plant boilers and industrial boilers. It is more appropriate to use a fin pitch of around 8mm for exhaust, but it should be accompanied by a design scheme with self blowing ability. The third scenario is when there is no or slight accumulation of dust, such as in the exhaust of natural gas burning equipment or air coolers, where the fin pitch can be selected as 4-6mm. For aluminum air coolers, the fin pitch is often around 3mm.
c, The processing technology and cost of fins are also factors that should be considered when selecting fin pitch.
3,Rolled finned tubeThe selection of fin thickness mainly considers the corrosiveness and wear of the surrounding gas. For situations with severe corrosion and wear, thicker fins can be used.
