Overview

The QUASAR heated vacuum chemiluminescence gas analyzer combines high performance, flexibility, and ease of use in continuous measurement of NOx, nitric oxide, nitrogen dioxide, or ammonia. Heating vacuum chemiluminescence is used to monitor NOx (combined with NO and NO2), providing higher sensitivity and minimal quenching effect. The heated reaction chamber is conducive to processing hot and wet sample gases without condensation. The chemiluminescence generated by the reaction of NO (nitric oxide) and O3 (ozone) has been greatly improved under vacuum, with better signal-to-noise ratio and fast response time, making it an ideal choice for real-time reporting applications. Many standards specify this method, such as EN 14792 and Method 7E.

Product Details

Main Features

Very low CO2 and H2O quenching

Electronic proportional flow controller

Specialized ozone generator uses air as the raw material gas

Long life nitrogen oxide converter (5 years)

Dry type, low maintenance pump

24V DC version (ideal choice for PEMS applications)

Technical Specifications

The heated sample pipeline and analyzer vacuum can prevent water condensation (without removing it), thereby preventing NO2 (nitrogen dioxide) from dissolving in water. QUASAR also has a neon tube ozone generator, which means (free) air can be used as the feed gas.

Signal Scientech also provides non vacuum and moderately heated chemiluminescence analyzers for applications that require the measurement of trace NOx, used to measure diluted vehicle exhaust from CVS (Constant Volume Sampler) systems and RDE (Real World Dry Emissions) vehicle tests (providing a 24VDC version for this purpose). SignalScience also recommends using this analyzer for emission monitoring applications, but the flue gas should be cleaned and dried before use to minimize maintenance intervals.
