JB/T4476 Head Standard stipulates:
The head must be inspected for shape using a full template.
● Shape tolerance: The outward convexity shall not exceed 1.25% Di, and the inward concavity shall not exceed 0.625% Di.
The radius within the transition section shall not be less than the value specified in the drawing.

Spherical body: The curvature size affects the thickness of the head
Transition section: Reduce the peak stress at the connection between the sphere and the cylinder
● Straight edge: Avoid the superposition of peak stress in the transition section and welding stress in the cylinder assembly
