A high-purity, thin PTFE membrane is fixed in an orderly arranged chemically resistant polypropylene support ring for indoor PM2.5 air monitoring. The lightweight of Whatman PM2.5 film is beneficial for accurate weight measurement; Thermal stability design avoids film curling, and a flat film is more conducive to automated operation.

The WHATMAN PM2.5 air monitoring filter membrane 7592-104 is made in a clean workshop. These chemically resistant and low background membranes ensure high sensitivity and interference free detection results. The membrane diameter is 46.2mm and does not contain binders or adhesives.

WHATMAN 7592-104 is produced in accordance with the requirements of 40 CFR Part 50 of EPA PM 2.5 method, and the manufacturer must conduct the tests listed below.
Any filter membrane merchant that produces, sells, or offers for sale the PM 2.5 reference method must demonstrate that a certain quantity (0.1% or less than 10) of each batch of sold filters has undergone the following tests and meets at least 90% of each test item:
Loose, surface particle contamination. (Drop Test West Loss Stability)
Temperature Stability (Temperature Weight Loss Stability)

Any filter membrane merchant that produces, sells, or offers for sale the PM 2.5 reference method must demonstrate that at least 50 of each batch of sold filters have undergone the following tests and that 90% or more of them meet each test item:

Filter membrane thickness
Filter membrane pore size
The width of the support ring
Thickness of support ring (total thickness)
The highest pressure point (clean filter)
The most humid point
Collection efficiency

Special requirements
Including XRF trace metal analysis and visual inspection of defects caused by naked eye, such as pinholes, support ring separation, slag or flash marks, looseness
Discoloration, uneven filter membrane or other obvious filter membrane defects.
