METTLER TOLEDO Differential Scanning Calorimeter DSC1

Mettler Toledo's DSC 1 has the highest calorimetric sensitivity among commercially available DSC instruments in the world (according to data from the Dutch International Society for Thermal Analysis under equivalent testing conditions). DSC 1 adopts a unique DSC patented sensor (MultiSTAR Ô DSC Sensor) arranged in a star shape with 56 pairs (FRS5) or 120 pairs (HSS8) of gold/palladium thermocouples, ensuring unparalleled sensitivity and flat baseline. DSC 1 has extremely high resolution, temperature accuracy, and repeatability, a large signal-to-noise ratio, a small signal time constant, and strong peak splitting ability. Due to the ceramic substrate of the sensor and the gold/palladium material of the thermocouple, as well as the extremely thin aluminum oxide coating on the surface, DSC 1 has strong chemical corrosion resistance. Due to its modular design, DSC 1, as one of the Mettler Toledo Thermal Analysis Beyond series products, is the best choice for manual or automatic operation, suitable for a wide range of applications from quality assurance and production to technical research and development. DSC 1 can also perform multi frequency temperature modulation DSC (TOPEM) experiments. DSC 1, combined with a photothermal device, can be extended to UV-DSC; Combined with a microscope, it can be expanded into a DSC microscope system (which is unique in the thermal analysis market).

main features

• Amazing sensitivity - suitable for measuring weak effects
• Excellent resolution - capable of measuring rapid transitions and proximity effects
Efficient automation - a highly reliable automatic sampler with 34 injection positions capable of processing large amounts of samples
• Sample size combination - suitable for trace or non-uniform samples
Modular concept - tailor-made solutions to meet current and future needs
• Flexible calibration - ensuring accurate measurement results under all conditions
Wide temperature range - the temperature can be measured continuously from -150 ° C to 700 ° C in one measurement
Ergonomic design - intelligent, simple, safe, and convenient for your daily operations

The characteristics of the universal sensor FRS5

The baseline is very flat and stable - it can be used for precise specific heat measurement
• Extremely small signal time constant - good peak splitting ability
• Measurement of extremely high thermal sensitivity and low noise - weak thermal effects
• Super strong resistance to chemical corrosion
• Can be replaced separately, reducing maintenance costs exponentially

Characteristics of High Sensitivity Sensor HSS8

In addition to possessing the above characteristics of FRS5, it is particularly recommended for measuring the weak effects of μ W level heat flux (previously this effect could only be measured using microcalorimeters). HSS8 is currently the most sensitive DSC sensor in the world, which improves the measurement level of DSC instruments to a level close to microcalorimeters.
