Overview

L-shaped wound tube is easy to manufacture and cost-effective. Air coolers are widely used in petroleum and chemical industries. However, due to the initial stress of the aluminum sheet being fastened to the surface of the steel pipe by winding, the average contact pressure does not exceed 17 kg/cm2, so the operating temperature is relatively low, generally between 120-160 ℃. Practice has shown that when the wall temperature of the tube exceeds 70 ℃, the tension of the fins greatly decreases, the fins begin to loosen, and the contact thermal resistance increases.

L-shaped coiled tubeEasy to manufacture and affordable in price. Air coolers are widely used in petroleum and chemical industries. However, since the aluminum sheet is fastened to the surface of the steel pipe by the initial stress of winding, the average contact pressure does not exceed 17 kg/cm2,Therefore, the operating temperature is relatively low, generally between 120-160 ℃. Practice has shown that when the wall temperature of the tube exceeds 70 ℃, the tension of the fins greatly decreases, the fins begin to loosen, and the contact thermal resistance increases.

L-shaped coiled tubeThe winding process is to wrap a thin strip of metal in a horizontal spiral shape along the pipe using a winding machine. This process has fewer steps, higher production efficiency, material savings, and stable product quality. For a long time, it has been the national manufacturer of finned tubes
Main processes. After decades of continuous development, many forms of winding processes and specialized equipment have emerged.
Wrap the L rows of smooth fins, press the metal strip into an L shape on the winding machine (the length of the short side is equal to the spacing between the fins, and the length of the long side is equal to the height of the fins), and then tightly wrap the short side on the surface of the tube through the Kun wheel mechanism. This process is widely used both domestically and internationally
The material of the pipe is not limited, including carbon steel pipe, stainless steel pipe, copper pipe, and aluminum pipe. But fins can only be made of metals with good ductility and high tensile strength, such as steel and aluminum.
L-shaped coiled tubeGeometric parameters of
The geometric parameters of finned tubes include diameter, tube wall, fin height, fin thickness, fin spacing, tube length, and the size of the fin ratio. These parameters have a direct impact on the heat transfer of finned tubes, air resistance, and the noise and cost of air coolers

domesticL-shaped finned tubeCharacteristic parameters:

1. The base pipe diameter of finned tubes currently comes in various sizes, roughly ranging from 1/4 inch to 1 inch for non-ferrous metals; Steel pipes range from 1/2 inch to 4 inches. But it is used on air coolers

There are only a few options available, namely 1.1 and 1/4 inches and 1 and 1/2 inches. Among them, 1-inch steel pipes are the most common, and larger ones are generally used for viscous media. Under the premise of meeting the pressure drop of the fluid inside the pipe, the diameter of the base pipe should be selected as small as possible to facilitate heat transfer.
2. The thickness of the pipe wall is mainly determined based on factors such as pressure, rigidity, corrosion, and material. Generally, it should not be less than 2 millimeters.
3. The higher the fin height, the larger the heat transfer area, but the heat transfer efficiency of the fins decreases accordingly. Within a certain height, the effective area and fin efficiency increase rapidly, while beyond this height, the effective area increases very little. Therefore, there should be an optimal value for the height of the fins.
The fin height of the coiled tube is generally 13mm and 16mm.
