KOBOLD flow switchThe PSR/PS series is suitable for applications that require electrical switch functionality to achieve specific flow rates. PSR/PS can be set as normally open (N/O) or normally closed (N/C) switches. Switching is achieved through contact with the flowing medium that is electrically isolated. The device operates by using a paddle spring arrangement. The flowing medium exerts force on the lower part of the propeller (in the T-shaped part). The blades pivot relatively high in the PSR/PS body, but are resisted by the leaf springs. The upper part of the paddle is a magnet that moves when the paddle rotates around its center. The switch is located outside the PSR/PS housing inside the movable plastic casing (thus sealed and isolated). When the magnet approaches the switch, the switch closes. By moving the switch, the required flow rate to turn it off is changed. The result is a flow sensitive reed switch with adjustable switch points.
