INFORS solid-state sample fermentation tank reactor for solid-state fermentation and in-situ sterilization bioreactor. Terrafors is a device developed by INFORS for solid-state sample fermentation research, which has won the Swiss Innovation Award. It is suitable for degradation research of solid samples, organic waste, natural or contaminated solid samples, mud, as well as rapid microbial biodegradation evaluation. It can quickly optimize process conditions, produce enzyme products and other biologically active synthetic compounds, and use traditional agricultural waste to produce biodiesel, sewage purification, and more.

INFORS Solid State Sample Fermentation Tank Reactor

*Terrafors is a device developed by INFORS for the fermentation research of solid samples, which has won the Swiss Innovation Award. It is suitable for the degradation research of solid samples, organic waste, natural or contaminated solid samples, mud, as well as for rapid microbial biodegradation evaluation. It can quickly optimize process conditions, produce enzyme products and other biologically active synthetic compounds, and use traditional agricultural waste to produce biodiesel, sewage purification, and more.

*Sterilization method: fully automatic in-situ sterilization

*TerraforsIS, which is sterilized in place, uses direct steam for sterilization, with a sterilization temperature of up to 134 ℃. It uses INFORS steam generator, which can be directly installed on the tank bracket and transported together with the tank as a whole.

*Easy operation, convenient feeding and unloading, DDC control unit, software control system

*Tank body: Drum type (316L stainless steel, acid and alkali resistant)

*Volume: 15L (Solid: 3-4Kg; Liquid: 7L)

*Air intake method: Stainless steel air distributor (1mm air hole), other specifications of air distributors can be selected (such as porous plastic air intake pipe, with finer bubbles);

*Air intake flow rate: 3.6-36 NL/min, regulated by a rotor flowmeter, with automatic opening and closing of the intake/exhaust valves

*Temperature control: Water bath jacket controls temperature, Pt100 temperature sensor

*Temperature control range: room temperature (coolant temperature)+5 ℃~80 ℃ (sterilization temperature up to 134 ℃)

*Rotation speed: 0.1-10rpm, programmable speed control during fermentation process. There are movable turbulence baffles installed inside the tank to ensure the mixing effect. Three high-precision peristaltic pumps are standard for adding water, acid, alkali, defoaming agents, etc; The peristaltic pump head can be disassembled as a whole and sterilized together with the reagent bottle, without the need to disassemble and install the peristaltic pump tube, reducing human error and making operation easier.

*There are two openings on the lid, with a 19mm opening for liquid sampling, adding culture medium, or collecting culture products; 50mm opening for solid addition or sampling (using Tri Clamp connection)

*INFORS exhaust gas analyzer can be used to analyze the outlet gas, understand the reaction process, evaluate the consumption of CO during fermentation, obtain respiratory entropy, etc., understand the reaction process, measure the results, and feedback control parameters such as feeding.

*Infrared sensor measures CO2 concentration, CO2 range: 0-10%, repeatability within ± 1% of the entire scale, operating humidity of 5-95% RH, non condensing, calibration using zeroing and calibration gas. High precision maintenance free sensor.

*Oxgen oxygen measurement: Zirconia sensor detects oxygen concentration ranging from 0 to 25%, with repeatability within ± 0.5% of the entire scale. Operating humidity ranges from 1 to 99% RH and is non condensing. Calibration can be performed using room temperature air or calibration gas. High precision maintenance free sensor.
