There are generally three types of vinyl glass flake adhesive: brick chimney, reinforced concrete chimney, and steel chimney. Its materials are generally divided into several types: iron, asbestos, and pottery, which are generally used in small places such as homes and offices. In addition, there are also those built with bricks, mostly cylindrical in shape, thin at the top and thick at the bottom. They are generally used in large industrial plants such as boilers and smelters. The construction method of chimney desulfurization is used on carbon steel substrate: ① First, remove oil and dirt from the surface, and then carry out rust removal. The rust removal grade should meet the Sa2.0 or St3 standards at least. After cleaning the rust surface, apply VEGF resin as a base and wait for it to dry before construction. ② Use a manual trowel to scrape and trowel a 1-2mm (per layer) thick layer of VEGF adhesive, which will harden after a few hours, and then construct according to the design requirements to the specified thickness. Generally, testing is carried out every 1mm thickness to confirm whether there are pinholes and other defects in the coating. ③ Increase the thickness appropriately at corners or sudden changes in shape, or use it in combination with FRP. ④ Cover one to two layers with VEGF resin. ⑤ Quality control of VEGF scale adhesive coating. The quality of VEGF scale adhesive coating directly affects its corrosion resistance and service life, so strict control should be exercised over the quality of VEGF scale adhesive coating.
