The Kebo absorption tester is designed based on the basic parameters and requirements specified in GBT9775-2008 paper faced gypsum board. This standard is applicable for determining the water absorption of various paper or cardboard surfaces. But it is not suitable for accurately evaluating the writing performance of paper or cardboard.

Cobb value of surface water absorption of paper and cardboard: the amount of water absorbed by the surface of a unit area of paper and cardboard under a certain pressure and temperature within a specified time, measured in grams per square meter.

The specific formula is as follows: C=(G2-G1) × 100.

Note: C-Cobb water absorption value; G2- mass of sample weighed after water absorption G1- mass of sample weighed before water absorption.

The paper and paperboard absorption tester is a conventional instrument for testing the surface water absorption of paper and paperboard, also known as the paper surface absorption weight tester. This instrument adopts the Cobb test method among various absorption test methods, and is therefore also known as the Cobb absorption tester.

2. The fixed weight of absorbent paper is 200-250g/㎡, and its absorption rate is 75mm/10min. When the single layer weight of absorbent paper is less than 200-250 g/㎡, multiple layers can be stacked to meet the requirements.
