The determination of coliform bacteria in food is carried out using the test tube slant counting method. The results are consistent with the standard plate counting method, or the newly developed fermentation box inspection method can be used. A small fermentation box can replace the 9 glass test tubes used in the conventional MPN method, and all sample addition operations can be completed in one go without the need for dilution of the sample solution. The test results are consistent with the standard MPN method.
