The 5725A amplifier enhances the AC voltage, AC current, and DC current capabilities of the 5700A series multifunctional calibrator. 5725A operates under the control of the 5700A series calibrator through the interface cable provided with 5725A.

Enhancement of 5700A/5720A AC voltage output function provided by 5725A:

• The frequency limit at higher voltage increases to 100 kHz at 750 V and to 30 kHz at 1100 V
• The load limit is 70 mA for frequencies above 5 kHz and 50 mA for frequencies below 5 kHz
• The capacitive load limit is increased to 1000 pF

The front or rear terminals of the 5725A series calibrator can provide a voltage output of 5725A. This eliminates the need to move cables during the process of amplification and standard calibrator output.

The 5725A front or rear panel OUTPUT terminals are only used for current output. They provide an extended range of AC and DC currents. Due to the fact that most instruments with high current ranges use separate high current input terminals, this configuration typically does not require moving cables during operation. If a single point current output is required, the 5700A series calibrator can be configured to provide all current outputs through the 5725A terminal.

• AC voltage:tall70 mA (50 mA<5 kHz), 220 Hz to 1100 V rms, 40 Hz to 30 kHz; 220 to 750V rms,tall70 mA, 30 kHz to 100 kHz
• DC current: 0 A to ± 11 A
• AC current: 1 A to 11 A rms, 40 Hz to 10 kHz
