The Digatron EVT300-800 electric vehicle testing system is designed to test traction batteries in electric vehicles or HEV batteries in hybrid electric vehicles. EVT achieves charging and discharging functions through the registration of current, voltage, power, or resistance settings and corresponding measurement data in a freely programmable test program.

Digatron EVT300-800 Electric Vehicle Testing System
The electric vehicle battery tester (EVT) is designed to test traction batteries in electric vehicles or HEV batteries in hybrid electric vehicles. EVT achieves charging and discharging functions through the registration of current, voltage, power, or resistance settings and corresponding measurement data in a freely programmable test program.
Due to specific requirements (rapid load changes and driving cycle simulation), EVT is equipped with IGBT technology.
This technology allows energy to be fed back to the AC power line during discharge, resulting in low power dissipation. No additional cooling system is required. There are multiple options to choose from, such as battery block drop, additional input/output channels, data logger, CAN Bus interface, and RS232 interface to the climate chamber.
Application of Digatron EVT300-800 Electric Vehicle Testing System
The high-speed transition from charging to discharging (and vice versa) makes IGBT/EVT an ideal choice for testing electric/hybrid electric vehicle batteries. Especially during actual test driving, the characteristics of repeated driving cycles recorded using portable data loggers provide reproducible test results. In addition, the testing plan can be freely programmed for all types of electric vehicle batteries or any other industrial energy storage devices.
