3、 Disassembly and cleaning of extruder melt pump

All disassembled components should be kept in mind for orientation and direction, and all equipment should be returned to its original position. Instead, use a plastic or soft copper hammer to quietly strike and remove them.

1. Due to the high temperature operation of the pump body, hinge supports should be installed on the piping during cold equipment to prevent displacement of the piping after temperature rise.

2. It is necessary to align the coupling after the pump body is heated up to avoid generating additional torque during operation.

3. The outlet pressure measuring point of the extruder metering pump should be equipped with an interlock stop alarm, otherwise, if the discharge pipeline is blocked, it may cause damage to the pump body.

When starting the extruder metering pump, do not blindly increase the speed when there is no pressure at the outlet to avoid premature damage to the shaft or bearing.

When cleaning and pipetting the extruder metering pump, do not use the pump to transport the cleaning solution. Remove the internal components and wait until the pipetting is complete before using the equipment to avoid foreign objects from entering the pump.

6. The temperature of the heat medium jacket of the extruder meltblown pump body may be slightly lower than the temperature of the heat medium in the front and rear jacket tubes. 8. The melt filter behind the outlet of the extruder meltblown pump should be replaced regularly, and should not be operated under high pressure or even the upper pressure limit.

9. Regularly replacing bearings can save maintenance costs. When the wear on the inner surface of the shaft or bearing is found to be close to the thickness of the hardened layer, the shaft should not be polished and reused, but only the bearing should be replaced, which can extend the service life of the pump shaft.

10. In case of power outage or interruption of heat medium circulation for more than 30 minutes, the extruder meltblown pump should be disassembled and cleaned before reassembling from scratch to avoid damage to the pump due to smooth bearings caused by solidification, cracking, etc. of the melt.
