No problem. By pre configuring customizable test configurations, EXFOPPM-350D is capable of automatically detecting the type of network being tested and adjusting the pass/fail criteria to achieve error free testing.
Product advantages
In order to provide the correct speed to the right customers, operators (CSPs) are deploying next-generation and traditional passive optical network (PON) technologies, overlaying multiple new wavelengths on existing fibers.
This will bring challenges for rapid and accurate testing during critical service activation stages: CSPs need power meters that can test next-generation and traditional PON technologies, and their on-site teams need to determine the correct technology to test correctly.
EXFO ESFO PPM-350D aims to address these two challenges head-on through PON sensing technology. The EXFO PPM-350D PON was jointly developed by EXFO and a mainstream CSP in North America, which can automatically detect and adjust test parameters based on the PON technology used at the customer's site, thereby eliminating costly on-site technical speculation. Therefore, operators can deploy faster, reduce activation costs, and improve customer satisfaction.
