Introduction to disc feeder

As the name suggests, the main function of a disc feeder is to provide material supply to other equipment. Using a disc feeder can evenly feed materials into one equipment, allowing the next process to work normally, saving labor, and protecting the performance of the equipment, extending the service life of the entire production line equipment. The disc feeder is an indispensable supporting product for mineral processing equipment.

Structure of disc feeder

The disc feeder is a feeding equipment suitable for powder ore below 20mm. The disc feeder consists of a driving device, a feeder body, a measuring belt conveyor, and a measuring device. The feeder and belt conveyor are driven by a set of driving devices, and the electromagnetic clutch of the driving device has the function of realizing the opening, stopping, and functional conversion of the feeder. The belt speed of the measuring belt conveyor is less than 1m/s. In order to measure the belt speed, a speed detection device is installed. To prevent the weighing roller from deviating, a detection rod is installed for adjustment.

Working principle of disc feeder

The feed inlet of the disc feeder is composed of a receiving sleeve and an adjustable height adjustment sleeve. The material falls from the receiving sleeve to the adjustment sleeve and then leaks out through the gap between the disc and the adjustment sleeve, and is scraped off from the disc by a scraper. The purpose of adjusting the feeding amount can be achieved by adjusting the gap size between the adjusting sleeve and the disc, and adjusting the position of the scraper. The size of the receiving sleeve and the adjusting sleeve are determined by the hourly feeding amount of the disc feeder and the radius of the disc. The adjustment of the sleeve height is mainly driven by the rotation of the threaded rod fixed on both sides of the sleeve to drive the up and down movement of the sleeve.
