BOROSA Acoustic Levitation, located in the Ruhr Science Park in Bochum, Germany, is a company specializing in the research and production of acoustic levitation devices. The company relies on the scientific research strength of Bochum University in Germany to focus on innovation and the development of high-quality acoustic levitation devices. The high-pressure acoustic suspension system L800 developed and produced by BOROSA company won the 2015 German Industrial Award.
The basic principle of the sound suspension system L800:
Acoustic levitation is achieved by utilizing the acoustic radiation force exerted on an object to achieve levitation. The suspension of matter requires the formation of a standing wave between the ultrasonic emission end and the reflection end to create the required sound field.

Container free state of sound suspension system L800:
Acoustic levitation can simulate a container free state in a spatial environment, thereby avoiding the influence of container walls on samples and the interference of container walls on analysis and detection signals; It can also prevent heterogeneous nucleation and provide an ideal environment for homogeneous nucleation to achieve greater undercooling. Compared with other non container suspension methods, acoustic suspension has no special requirements for the electromagnetic properties of the suspended sample and does not produce significant additional effects. It can suspend any solid or liquid under normal gravity conditions on the ground.

Container free state of sound suspension system L800
L800 is a high-pressure acoustic suspension system that perfectly combines acoustic suspension with an autoclave. Its advantage lies in its carefully designed suspension technology - at a pressure of 20Mpa and a temperature range of -20 ℃ to 180 ℃, the sample can enter suspension mode at any time.

The visible high-pressure vessel of L800 is made of titanium alloy material and sapphire window, which is both resistant to high pressure and corrosion.
L800 is a measurement device for single droplet resonance mode, which is particularly suitable for precise measurement of the mass transfer process mechanism (i.e. molecular diffusion) of suspended droplets.
L800 uses independently developed acoustic levitation measurement software, with a user-friendly interface and powerful functions.
L800 acoustic levitation system has a wide range of applications: gas hydrate measurement, crystallization and particle formation process research, gel and non-contact melting research, etc.
