Overview

Continuous stirred tank reactor, also known as fully mixed reactor (CSTR), is currently widely used as an anaerobic fermentation reactor. By stirring the material and microorganisms in a mixed state, mass transfer can be enhanced while uniform heat transfer can be achieved. CSTR reactors have many advantages, such as (1) sufficient mass and heat transfer, and high fermentation efficiency; (2) Can handle raw materials with high suspended solids content to avoid delamination; (3) Low cost and good operational stability. CSTR is suitable for fermentation of high concentration organic wastewater with high SS content, such as poultry manure, slaughter wastewater, and urban sewage sludge.

Product Introduction:

Continuous stirred tank reactor, also known as fully mixed tank reactor (CSTR), is currently used as an anaerobic fermentation reactor. By stirring the material and microorganisms in a mixed state, mass transfer can be enhanced while uniform heat transfer can be achieved.

CSTR reactors have many advantages, such as (1) sufficient mass and heat transfer, and high fermentation efficiency; (2) Can handle raw materials with high suspended solids content to avoid delamination; (3) Low cost and good operational stability.

CSTR is suitable for fermentation of high concentration organic wastewater with high SS content, such as poultry manure, slaughter wastewater, urban sewage sludge, or mixed fermentation with other materials such as agricultural straw.

RTK small CSTR reactors (5 L, 10 L) were used for simulating industrial fermentation research. Combined with the CSTR gas analysis device, real-time monitoring of methane or biogas production and composition during the fermentation process can be achieved.

Product Features:

(1) The CSTR reactor has a capacity of 5 L or 10 L, and can be made of high borosilicate glass (for easy observation) or stainless steel (for high strength);

(2) The CSTR reactor is equipped with a double-layer jacket and controlled by water circulation to meet experimental requirements;

(3) Equipped with a mechanical stirring motor to ensure the sealing of the reactor while thoroughly stirring and mixing;

(4) Equipped with corresponding feed and discharge ports, batch fermentation can be carried out, as well as continuous or semi continuous injection fermentation;

(5) The CSTR gas analysis device can monitor the methane or biogas production and composition in real-time during the fermentation process, which is beneficial for evaluating fermentation efficiency;

(6) The reactor can be customized with processing related components for real-time measurement of physical and chemical properties such as pH, ORP, COD, etc.
