Recently, the International Organization for Standardization Innovation Logistics Technology Committee Express Service Standards Committee (ISO/TC 344/SC2) was established and held its first plenary meeting in Hangzhou, Zhejiang. The meeting heard three international standard proposals put forward by Chinese representatives, among which the "Express Electronic Waybill" technical report project led by SF Express was successfully approved and entered the drafting stage. The successful approval of this Chinese proposal also marks the comprehensive launch of internationalization of express delivery service standards.
SC2 Express Delivery Service is the first international standardization organization in the field of express delivery, marking a new stage of development in the standardization work of global express delivery services. More than 40 expert representatives from member institutions of 9 countries including China, South Korea, Germany, Austria, France, and the United States, as well as 2 international organizations, attended the first plenary meeting to review matters such as the name, scope, and contact relationship of SC2, and listened to the introduction of 3 international standard proposals put forward by Chinese delegates.
Among them, the technical report project of "Express Electronic Waybill" led by SF Express has been approved for approval at the meeting and has entered the drafting stage.This is also the first successful international standard proposal in the field of express delivery services.
It is reported that the report will form an international standard consensus on express waybill information, format, and technology through international research, typical cases, and other forms, helping to promote the standardization of electronic express waybills, cross-border logistics facilitation, and sustainable and healthy development of the entire industry. The project will collaborate with professionals in the express delivery industry from various countries to form a working group to prepare a report, which will be released after soliciting opinions from all parties.
At the founding ceremony of SC2 Express Delivery Service, Zhao Chongjiu, Director of the State Postal Administration, pointed out in his speech that express delivery services connect online and offline, serving thousands of cities and industries, and bringing great convenience to people's production and life. The establishment of the Express Service Standards Committee is conducive to promoting interconnectivity and building a convenient, efficient, safe, and resilient global express network; Beneficial for improving the accessibility and balance of express delivery services; Beneficial for better serving global livelihoods and promoting the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Emphasize that the Express Service Standards Committee should follow the development trend, build a scientific and reasonable international standard system for express services, carry out international standard research and development work in service quality and certification, network construction and operation, technical equipment and application, green development and safety, and lead and support the healthy development of global express delivery.
