mechb2bIndustry NewsJifei releases X series robots, ushering in the era of full process automation in agriculture
On July 6th, the 2026 Agricultural Robot Launch Conference of Jifei Technology was held at the Jifei Super Farm in Guangzhou. Founder Peng Bin of Jifei Technology has officially released the new X series agricultural robot and RM80 unmanned lawn mower, marking a historic leap from "human-machine collaboration" to agricultural production automation for Jifei. The X series agricultural robots released this time will be the first to kick off the automation of the entire process of agricultural unmanned aerial vehicle plant protection.
Currently, cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data, the Internet of Things, and sensors are accelerating their integration into the agricultural field, promoting a technological leap for agricultural robots. However, in practical application scenarios in agriculture, robots not only need to cope with changing weather, but also need to learn to recognize seedling needs and judge fruit maturity. In outdoor environments without pre-set infrastructure, it needs to achieve precise positioning and navigation; Maintain stable operation in complex terrain and changing lighting conditions; Perform fine operations in unstructured scenes. This is not a simple technical translation, but a systematic practical exploration from algorithms to hardware, from laboratories to fields.
At the same time, the aging of the rural population is accelerating, and the cost of agricultural labor continues to rise. The replacement of manual labor by machines has changed from an "optional" to a "mandatory" option. On the other hand, traditional extensive operations are difficult to meet the production requirements of high-quality agricultural products. The precise operation ability of robots in sowing, fertilizing, picking and other links is becoming the key to cost reduction and efficiency improvement. Therefore, the previous mode of human-machine collaboration will be replaced by full process automation in the future development process.
The object of agricultural operations is fresh crops, whose morphology constantly changes throughout the entire growth cycle. Taking strawberries as an example, the plant posture is always in a dynamic evolution from seed, seedling stage, flowering and fruiting stage to fruiting stage. This requires robots to not only perform fixed actions, but their "brain" must also have the ability to recognize different growth stages and accurately match corresponding tasks. In other words, agricultural robots are no longer simply repetitive machinery, but intelligent agents with multiple layers of perception and decision-making capabilities. And intelligent perception technology is the foundation that endows robots with this "environmental perception" ability - by using various sensors to obtain real-time information on soil moisture, temperature, nutrient content, and crop growth status, providing data support for decision-making.
The biggest breakthrough of Jifei Technology this time is the successful construction of a complete unmanned operation loop: unmanned aerial vehicle autonomous takeoff and landing, global intelligent obstacle avoidance, airport automatic power exchange and dosing, and the entire agricultural operation process does not require manual on-site control. The implementation of this closed loop indicates that agricultural robots will eventually move towards a fully autonomous and unmanned operation mode.
It can be foreseen that with the continuous iteration of technology and the continuous reduction of costs, agricultural robots will deeply integrate into the entire agricultural production chain, reshape traditional operation modes, effectively alleviate long-term pain points such as labor shortage and low production efficiency, and inject new momentum into sustainable agricultural development.
