mechb2bIndustry NewsHow can Linglong Tire win the global compliance race when green becomes the "ticket"?
The 2026 Rubber Industry Sustainable Development Forum will be held in Yantai from May 24th to 26th. This forum is jointly organized by the Rubber Materials Professional Committee of the China Rubber Industry Association and the FSC Forest Management Committee. About 140 industry experts from natural rubber production and trade enterprises, tire enterprises, rubber product enterprises, vehicle manufacturers, as well as certification agencies, law firms, and research institutions attended. As a leading enterprise and host in the Chinese tire industry, Linglong Tire was invited to attend, and its Executive Vice President Sun Songtao delivered a speech at the forum.
Compliance is the foundation of one's existence, and green is the path to upgrading
Compliance is the foundation of a company's existence, and green is the path to industrial upgrading, "said Vice President Sun Songtao at the beginning. He stated that from natural rubber cultivation to tire production, and then to the low-carbon supply chain of vehicle enterprises - the entire value chain of rubber tires vehicles - is being tested by the same green standard. The four major issues of sustainable raw material supply, low-carbon transformation in manufacturing, green management throughout the product lifecycle, and global compliance capability require the entire industry chain to shift from "fighting on its own" to "developing together".

Mr. Sun called for a profound reshaping of the global rubber industry. In the face of complex international situations and fierce global competition, only through collaborative construction can we build a solid foundation. We call on the entire industry to break down barriers, build a community of shared future for upstream and downstream, and achieve a transformation from 'product output' to 'standard output' and 'value output'. The Chinese tire industry must use the power of clusters to reshape the industry chain ecology, respond to international barriers through technology sharing, joint procurement, unified standards, break through low-end lock-in, and make a louder 'Chinese voice' in the global industry
Technology first: New materials break the performance ceiling
Ideas require technology to be implemented. At the same time as the conference, Li Yanguo, Director of Formula Design Department at Linglong Tire Global Research Institute, gave a informative presentation. From bio based rubber, recyclable pyrolysis carbon black, to non fossil based reinforcing fillers, a series of cutting-edge materials have not only made breakthroughs in the laboratory, but also entered the pilot or application stage. Experts attending the meeting believe that these new materials have the potential to break the performance ceiling of traditional petrochemical based materials and move green tires from "passive substitution" to "active surpassing".
Linglong Confidence: From 85% Sustainable Tires to WBCSD
And Linglong's confidence is not limited to the laboratory. A series of specific achievements have been implemented:85% sustainable material tiresThe proportion of bio based renewable materials exceeds 60%, and the proportion of recycled materials is about 25%. The key indicators of rolling resistance and wet braking both meet the EU tire label A-level standard; A clear "dual carbon" roadmap - the goal is to achieve a 52.07% reduction in scope one and two carbon emissions by 2035, a 25% reduction in scope three carbon emissions intensity by 2030, and achieve full chain carbon neutrality by 2050; The FSC certified sustainable natural rubber project in Yunnan assists local small farmers in improving supply chain transparency and sustainable management capabilities; In 2026, China will officially become a member of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), which means that Chinese tire companies will begin to have a say in global green rule making.
Open sharing: Empowering the industry with the Central Asia Tire Test Field
After the forum, the representatives visited the Central Asia Tire Test Field invested and constructed by Linglong Group. This is the largest outdoor tire testing ground in Asia designed and fully operated by IDIADA in Spain, with various testing tracks covering more than 40 performance indicators. As a third-party public testing platform open to the entire industry, the Central Asia Tire Test Field provides a solid technical foundation for the green upgrading and compliant export of China's tire and automotive industry.
When the global green wave becomes irreversible and the international trade compliance threshold continues to rise, Linglong Tire's choice is clear and firm: to reshape the industrial chain ecology with the power of clusters, moving from product output to standard output and value output.
