mechb2bIndustry NewsGuiding Opinions on Scientific Fertilization Technology for Increasing Yield of Early Rice in 2026 (Double season Early Rice in the Middle Reaches of the Yangtze River)
The middle reaches of the Yangtze River include the central and eastern parts of Hubei Province, the northeastern part of Hunan Province, the northern part of Jiangxi Province, and all of Anhui Province.
  01
  cultivation management
(1) Double season early rice is sown around March 20th and transplanted at around 25 days of age.
(2) Early rice should be planted in 20000 to 22000 holes per mu, using wide rows and narrow plants for transplantation (such as 25 cm x 11 cm or 30 cm x 10 cm), with 4-5 seedlings per hole for conventional rice and 2-3 seedlings per hole for hybrid rice.
  02
  Fertilization principle
(1) Reduce the amount of nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizers appropriately, and increase the proportion of nitrogen fertilizer per ear.
(2) Deep application of base fertilizer and topdressing with "water carrying nitrogen".
(3) Calcium magnesium phosphate fertilizer is preferred for phosphorus fertilizer, while potassium chloride is preferred for potassium fertilizer.
(4) Increase the application of organic fertilizers and promote the return of straw to the field.
(5) Cooperate with the application of zinc fertilizer and silicon fertilizer.
(6) Encourage the use of lateral deep fertilization technology to achieve integrated transplanting and fertilization, and recommend the application of slow-release formula fertilizer one-time fertilization technology.
  03
  Fertilization suggestions
(1) Production level below 350 kg/mu, nitrogen fertilizer (N) application rate of 6-7 kg/mu; The yield level is 350-450 kg/mu, and the nitrogen fertilizer (N) application rate is 7-9 kg/mu; The yield level is 450-550 kg/mu, and the nitrogen fertilizer (N) application is 9-11 kg/mu; The yield level is above 550 kg/mu, and the nitrogen fertilizer (N) application is 11-13 kg/mu. Phosphorus fertilizer (P2O5) 4-7 kg/mu, potassium fertilizer (K2O) 4-8 kg/mu.
(2) 50% -60% nitrogen fertilizer is used as base fertilizer, 20% -25% as tiller fertilizer, and 20% -25% as ear fertilizer; All phosphate fertilizers are used as base fertilizers; 50% -60% potassium fertilizer is used as base fertilizer, and 40% -50% is used as ear fertilizer; In zinc deficient areas, apply an appropriate amount of 1 kilogram of zinc fertilizer (zinc sulfate) per acre; Apply silicon containing fertilizers appropriately; All organic fertilizers are applied on a basal basis.
(3) Fields using machine transplanting and side deep fertilization can reduce nitrogen fertilizer application by 10% -20%, while fields using slow-release formula fertilizer can reduce nitrogen fertilizer application by 10%.
(4) The application of organic fertilizer or planting green manure can reduce the amount of base fertilizer by 10% -20% in fields that have been plowed; The amount of potassium fertilizer used in plots where straw is returned to the field year-round can be reduced by about 30%.
