In underground mines, there is no public network signal, the electromagnetic environment is complex, and multiple rock drilling rigs are operating simultaneously - in such scenarios, how can equipment "understand each other"? How can data be fully retained in a disconnected state and automatically replenished after networking? How to real-time monitor the operational status of each device in a dispatch center located on the ground?
This is a leading domestic manufacturer of heavy engineering equipment, facing real engineering challenges when launching the intelligent transformation of mining drilling truck clusters. Faced with such a challenge, they found Sanwang Communication.
ONE
Project background: The leap from "standalone jobs" to "cluster collaboration"
A customer is deeply involved in the field of tunnel excavation and mining construction equipment, and its rock drilling rig product line covers multiple large-scale mining projects both domestically and internationally. With the increasing demand for clustering and unmanned operations, the original decentralized and isolated device communication mode can no longer meet the requirements of collaborative operations and remote control.
Customer request
The customer's core demands are only three: real-time collaboration of multiple devices, no loss of data in disconnected environments, and one screen view of all vehicle status on the ground. It may sound simple, but there is nothing easy to do.
TWO
Sanwang communication solution: edge computing+local cooperative network+breakpoint continuous transmission
Sanwang Communications has customized a set of edge computing gateway solutions for the project. Each drilling vehicle is equipped with an intelligent collection gateway, which is directly connected to the vehicle
CANBus, complete multi protocol data parsing, local caching, and preprocessing; The gateway integrates both Beidou positioning and GPS timing functions to ensure clock synchronization and reliable positioning of all devices in the cluster.
Between vehicles, a local collaborative network is built based on high-speed wireless links - the main control vehicle can obtain real-time operating parameters of all auxiliary control vehicles and issue collaborative instructions to them. The entire process does not rely on ground base stations, and stable operation is achieved in underground areas without public network coverage.
The data uplink adopts MQTT Internet of Things protocol, which is unified and transmitted to the ground control center through the main control gateway. It automatically caches when disconnected and resumes transmission when connected, greatly improving the reliability of data transmission in weak network environments in mines. The control center can also issue instructions and configurations in the reverse direction to achieve remote centralized dispatching.
THREE
Customer benefits: visible results
Autonomous network disconnection, data not lost
Edge local cache+breakpoint resume, job data can still be fully recorded in areas without network coverage.
Global clock synchronization
Beidou/GPS unified timing, multi vehicle data timestamp alignment, precise and controllable collaborative actions.
One screen centralized control
The ground control center presents all vehicle operating conditions, faults, and work trajectories uniformly, and is remotely adjustable and configurable.
Protocol compatibility, fast integration
Support multi class CAN controller protocol parsing, adapt to mainstream mining IoT platforms, and expand flexibly.
FOUR
Applicable scenarios: from mining to manufacturing, one solution covers multiple fields
Similar solutions have been extended and applied by Sanwang Communication in multiple fields:
Mining cluster operation
Intelligent Engineering Machinery
Remote supervision of agricultural machinery
Diesel mechanical emission compliance
Whether it is compliant uploading of emission data under environmental regulatory requirements, collection of agricultural machinery location trajectories under equipment subsidy policies, or real-time monitoring of working conditions in factory workshops - Sanwang Communication's vehicle mounted intelligent gateway can quickly adapt in a standardized manner, undertaking the core link of "data collection local processing reliable cloud deployment".
Making the system work under extreme conditions is a more difficult task than demonstrating it in a laboratory. This project proves that Sanwang Communication has this capability.
