　　BASF has launched a series of polyphenylsulfone (PPSU) grade products that do not contain bisphenol S (BPS) and bisphenol A (BPA) for high-temperature applications in food contact.

The Ultrason ® The P product portfolio fully complies with the European Commission Regulation 2024/3190, which prohibits the use of bisphenol substances in food contact materials and products. After the prescribed transition period, such products will no longer be imported into or produced within the European Union. Six Ultrason models ® P brand products are now provided with technical data sheets, necessary material compliance certificates, and food contact compliance documents. For manufacturers of reusable water bottles, dining utensils, coffee machine components, or high-temperature resistant cookware, re certification of existing materials (such as PESU affected by the ban) for food contact applications can be initiated in a timely manner based on this information. BASF has launched six customized Ultrason models for all manufacturers currently using polyethersulfone (PESU), polysulfone (PSU), or polyetherimide (PEI) in food contact applications ® P grades to meet diverse needs: including grades with easy demolding characteristics, and supporting a variety of colors from opaque to semi transparent, whether pre dyed or paired with masterbatch. All grades continue BASF Ultrason ® The consistent high-performance characteristics of the P series include stable mechanical performance that is not affected by temperature, high tolerance to various cleaning agents, oils, fats, and superheated steam, excellent toughness, and excellent dimensional stability.
