Turbine flowmeter is a type of velocity flowmeter that uses gas to drive the impeller of the flowmeter to rotate. The speed of impeller rotation is proportional to the volume flow rate of the fluid. According to the principle of electromagnetic induction, a magnetic sensor is used to sense a pulse signal proportional to the volume flow rate of the fluid from the synchronously rotating impeller, and the volume flow rate is obtained through calculation and processing. Its measurement accuracy is high, with accuracy levels reaching 1.0 and 1.5; The measurement range is generally 1:20, with a wide measurement range; The structure is compact and lightweight, easy to install and maintain, with low requirements for front and rear straight pipe sections, and can be used for medium and high pressure metering.
The gas turbine flowmeter also has the following disadvantages: it has movable parts that are easy to damage, key components such as bearings are prone to wear, poor resistance to dirt and stains, high requirements for the cleanliness of the medium, and difficulty in maintaining calibration characteristics, requiring regular calibration. The reasons for errors include: quality issues with the measuring instrument itself, unreasonable design and selection, inadequate installation, and improper maintenance during operation.
How to control errors?
Correctly determine the location and specifications for the use of flow meters. Due to the presence of turbine inertia in the turbine flowmeter, it is not suitable for use in situations with frequent flow fluctuations, otherwise it will reduce the measurement accuracy. To accurately estimate the peak and valley values of gas consumption and the pressure of the medium, and correctly determine the specifications of the flowmeter.
A filter must be installed before using the gas turbine flowmeter; The filter should be kept unobstructed. If the filter is found to be clogged, it should be cleaned in a timely manner. If a differential pressure gauge is not installed, it should be cleaned once a month. To ensure the requirements of the straight pipe section, especially in the case of reduced diameter or partially opened valves in front of the table. During installation, the sealing gasket shall not protrude into the pipeline, and there shall be no significant deviation between the flowmeter and the pipeline axis visually, and no installation stress shall be generated. During installation, it is necessary to clean all impurities inside the pipeline to prevent bearings and turbines from getting stuck.
